Brian Phillips is the Founder and Managing Partner of Mayhem Capital where he focuses on backing and building transformative technology companies that strengthen America’s strategic advantage across vital sectors including defense, government, healthcare, and education.

Brian’s career reflects a unique blend of technological innovation, entrepreneurial leadership, and dedication to national service. Brian is a multi-time Founder and CEO. He has also served in a variety of business and product management leadership roles at Facebook, Oculus, and Meta. A recognized innovator, Brian holds seven U.S. patents in emerging technologies. Brian also spent more than 20 years in military service as F-15C Fighter Pilot and Mission Commander with the US Air Force and the Air National Guard having completed multiple overseas deployments.

Passionate about supporting Vets, Brian launched the Vets Mentoring Program at Meta and is an active advocate for veteran recruitment and mentorship within Silicon Valley. Additionally, he serves as a Trustee of the United States Air Force Academy Falcon Foundation, which seeks to identify and build future Air Force leaders. Brian earned his undergraduate degree from the United States Air Force Academy and his graduate degree from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
